I drank alcohol to stop fear and because I was a nihilist. Been 6 months now and I love life again. I don't fear anything anymore! Has your relationship with fear changed?
My 30 year marriage ended over my spouse's drinking. But the one gift in it for me, was finding Al-Anon which I attended 'religiously' for 6 years. Its concept of "Higher Power" was so healing and liberating and has stayed with me, superceding all of the biblical "Jesus is God" ones.
